We had earlier reported that a Money Heist spin-off series is in the making, which will feature Berlin character as the central figure. Created by Alex Pina and Esther Martinez Lobato, the series will focus on the early days of Berlin, before he was diagosed with terminal illness and Royal Mint of Spain hostage.

Berlin will focus on the character's golden ages and his time when planned clever heists.  It’s a trip through the golden age of the character, when he robbed around Europe crazy in love," Pina said, while adding that it will be full of white-collar crimes, tension, travel, romance and, humour.

Apart from Berlin (played by Pedro Alonso), the series will feature characters like cyber security criminal Keila, academic and Berlin’s close friend Damián, Cameron, who lives life on the edge, Roi, a locksmith and Berlin’s faithful friend and  and Bruce who is talented in gadgets and weaponry.

The series was filmed in Paris and Madrid. It will be out in December.
