The first look of A Day and a Half, the Swedish drama thriller, was released recently by Netflix. It will premiere on Netflix on September 1.The film is directed by Fares Fares. He also plays one of the lead roles in the film. The film will also feature Alexej Manvelov (Chernobyl, Top Dog) and Alma Pöysti (Tove, Fallen Leaves), in the lead roles.

According to the streaming platform, the synopsis of the film reads, "To reunite with his daughter, Artan (Alexej Manvelov) takes his ex-wife Louise (Alma Pöysti) hostage and embarks on a thrilling and emotion-charged road trip with her and police officer Lukas (Fares Fares). The journey takes them through rural Sweden during a hot summer, all while having police on their heels."

Fares Fares has written the film with Peter Smirnakos and it is based on true events.
