Chennai International Film Festival: A complete guideline to the list of films to be screened

The Chennai International Film Festival will see 121 films getting screened over a week in the city

The Chennai International Film Festival is being held between December 30, 2021, to January 6. 121 films from 53 countries are being screened at the festival. The opening film was the Cannes Festival 2021, Palme d’Or nominee Three Floors by Nanni Moretti, and the closing film will be the San Sebastián International Film Festival 2021 winner Vortex by Gaspar Noé. 

Following is the schedule for January 3 arranged in order of the screens at which films are being screened. 

Anna Cinemas: 

10 am: 5 Minutes too Late directed by Dan Chisu (Romania)
1 pm: Lamb directed by Valdimar Johannsson (Iceland, Sweden, Poland)
3.30 pm: House Arrest directed by Aleksey German Jr (Russia)
6 pm: Parallel Mothers directed by Pedro Almodovar (Spain, France)

Santham Cinemas:

10.15 am: Women Do Cry directed by Vesela Kazakova, Mina Mileva (Bulgaria, France)
12.45 pm: Mikado directed by Emanuel Parvu (Romania, Czech Republic) 
3.30 pm: Memoria directed by Apichatpong Weerasethakul (Thailand, France, Colombia+)
6.30 pm: Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn directed by Radu Jude (Czech Republic, Romania, Luxembourg)

It must be noted that audiences must be vaccinated (one shot at least) to enter the cinema halls where the films are being screened.
