Netflix adapts The Nurse: The True Story Behind One of Scandinavia's Most Notorious Criminal Trial

The Nurse, the upcoming Danish series based on the book The Nurse: The True Story Behind One of Scandinavia's Most Notorious Criminal Trials by Kristian Corfixen, will premiere on Netflix in 2023. 

The series is about the true story of a Danish nurse convicted of attempted manslaughter of four patients at Nykøbing Falster Hospital. 

Produced by SAM Productions and directed by Kasper Barfoed, The Nurse stars Josephine Park, who plays the Danish nurse Christina Aistrup Hansen, and Fanny Louise Bernth as the colleague Pernille Kurzmann Larsen. 

According to the streaming platform, Danish police receive a complaint about a nurse deliberately killing patients. Following that, when one serious case unfolds, the staff at the hospital also reveal their suspicion that the nurse may have poisoned patients. The series is written by  Dorte W Høgh and Kasper Barfoed. The technical crew includes cinematographer Tommy Wildner and music composer Jeppe Kaas.
