SPY x FAMILY film announced, season 2 in production

The second season for the anime SPY x FAMILY along with a film has been announced at the recently wrapped up Jump Festa 2023 event in Japan. Both the second season and the upcoming film are currently under development.

Based on the popular manga written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo, SPY x FAMILY was adapted into an anime series in 2022. The first episode of the 24-part series premiered its first episode on 8 April 2022 while the last episode aired on 17 December.

The story revolves around a spy who has to create a fake family for himself in order to complete a mission. He later finds out that the girl he adopted as his daughter has psychic abilities. Directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, with character designs by Kazuaki Shimada, the anime series is produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks.

The upcoming SPY x FAMILY film, which is set to be a theatrical, along with seson 2 are currentlly slated for a 2023 release.
