Holy cow trailer: Sanjay Mishra plays Muslim man in search of his bovine in this dark comedy

The trailer of Sanjay Mishra- starrer Holy Cow released on Wednesday. The dark comedy, produced by Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aaliya Siddiqui, also features Tigmanshu Dhulia, Mukesh Bhatt and Sadiya Siddiqui in pivotal roles. Nawazuddin is in a guest appearance in the film, in the role of a police officer.

The film is about a Muslim man, Salim Ansari (Sanjay Mishra) and his wife played by Sadiya. When their cow Rukhsaar goes missing, the news spreads like wildfire and various political elements blow the issue out of proportion. Nawazuddin, as the police officer, accuses Salim of killing the cow. Sadiya even gets nightmares of her husband getting killed. Salim, with the help of his friend, played by Mukesh, finally decides to steal another cow to replace Rukhsaar.

The film is written and directed by Sai Kabir, known for his work in Revolver Rani, Kismat Konnection, and The Shaukeens among others. It is scheduled to release in theatres on August 26.
