The hit Disney+Hotstar show Special Ops is getting a prequel. Titled Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story, the series has Kay Kay Menon coming back as Himmat Singh.

An intriguing teaser has been released,  from which we can make out that the series will mostly be about Himmat Singh's journey as a young RAW agent.

The origin story goes back to 2001 and explores the formative years of Himmat Singh and how he uses his wit and intelligence for a high-impact operation.

Talking about the new season, director Neeraj Pandey said: "We have always envisioned Special Ops as a multi-layered franchise which would be leveraged on characters, scale, and format innovation."

Aftab Shivdasani, Aadil Khan will join the cast, alongside Gautami Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Parmeet Sethi, and KP Mukherjee.

Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story will be streaming on Disney+Hotstar. The release date is expected to be out soon.
