Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon is set to make her OTT debut with Aranyak, a cop-thriller web series. The show is scheduled to premiere on December 10 on Netflix.

Its teaser has been released. Set in a forest, the story of Aranyak is a dark and gritty tale in the midst of an eerie jungle and a mysterious town.

The 1-minute teaser introduces Raveena as Kasturi, a cop solving a spree of deaths in a hilltown. The show combines most staples of the mountain thriller genre: folklore, misty foliage, bodies dangling from trees, the works. And oh yes, it also has Ashutosh Rana, back in his Raaz habitat after almost two decades. 

The show also stars Parambrata Chatterjee, Meghna Malik, Zakir Hussain, and Indraneil Sengupta.

Aranyak has Rohan Sippy as the showrunner. It is directed by Vinay Waikul and written by Charudutt Acharya.

A synopsis from the makers reads, "After a foreign teenage tourist disappears in a misty town, a harried, local cop Kasturi must join hands with her city-bred replacement Angad, on a big-ticket case that digs up skeletons and revives a forgotten myth of a bloodthirsty, serial killing entity in the forest."

Aranyak is produced by Roy Kapur Films and Ramesh Sippy Entertainment.
