Harshita Gaur, who had a theatrical release recently with Mirzapur: The Movie, also plays a key role in the MX Player series Waiting Hai, the Divyenndu-led crime comedy which began streaming on Prime Video on September 16. The actor spoke about her role, and working experience with Divyenndu in the show. 

In an official statement, Harshita said about her character Princy, “I don't think I have any quality of Princy. She is a little contrary to her name. She wants to be treated like a princess, but not in a very apparent way. There is a sweetness and simplicity to her, but she also knows how to hold her power. She is very patient and someone who would devote her life to another person.” The actor added that she could relate to Princy’s feminine emotional strength.

Waiting Hai largely follows Railway Constable Sugam Mishra as he begins investigating a suspicious ticketing racket after noticing suspicious confirmation of some tickets, while regular passengers remain waitlisted.  Sugar’s pursuit is encouraged by Princy (Harshita) who motivates him to dig deeper and hence becomes an important part of his investigation.

Talking about Divyenndu, Harshita added, “It's always fabulous to work with Divyenndu. The ease we had while doing all our scenes will probably stay with me. I also remember this one conversation we had off-camera... I've always told Divyenndu how much I liked the quote he had in his Instagram bio: ‘Pain is temporary, film is forever.’ That will probably stay with me.”

A Jio Studios presentation and Jar Pictures Production, the series is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker and Series Director Sameer Vidwans and produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Ajay Rai. Waiting Hai also features Bhuvan Arora in the lead cast, with Kumud Mishra, Vijay Maurya, Srushti Tare and Sunita Rajwar in pivotal roles.
