RamBola, next film from Hanuman Ansh makers, announced

Vishal Chaturvedi will next be making Rambola, based on life of prominent saint and poet Goswami Tulsidas who is best known for authoring Hanuman Chalisa and Ramcharitmanas

Hanuman Ansh, the small-scale devotional drama which had a limited release initially in August, has now emerged as a bona fide blockbuster, defying all trade expectations and predictions. Amidst the success of the film, writer-director Vishal Chaturvedi has now officially announced his next project in collaboration with Mahaveer Jain Films, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. 

Titled RamBola, the film will follow the story of eminent saint and poet Goswami Tulsidas. Taking to their Instagram page, the production house penned, “With Bappa’s Blessings, on this auspicious day, with humility and gratitude we bring to you RamBola, The Immortal story of Goswami Tulsidas.” In the comments section, composer Sadhu Tiwari, who composed the popular soundtrack for Hanuman Ansh, and actor Chandan Anand, who played a key role in the film, extended their wishes to the team. 

Besides onboarding the film as writer-director, Vishal will also be producing the film in collaboration with Mahaveer Jain,  Amit Upadhyay & Raghuvendra Singh. More details about the project, including the cast and crew, are yet to be shared.

Tulsidas is best known for authoring Hanuman Chalisa and the epic Ramcharitmanas, a retelling of the Sanskrit Ramayana based on Rama's life, in the vernacular Awadhi language.

Meanwhile, Hanuman Ansh continues to break box office records with each passing day. With a staggering figure of Rs 51 crore nett on its 6th weekend, Hanuman Ansh broke the record previously held by Dhurandhar 2. On September 11, the film finally had an overseas release, which is sure to give a prominent boost to its box office figures.

Produced by Swambhu Media Network, Ragini S, Namrata G S, and Anupriya A Nagar, Hanuman Ansh features Chandan Anand and Shobhinav Satyaa in the lead cast, and actors like Nikhil Dubey, Udaysinh Rajput, Purnima Tiwari, and Mannish Chaudhary in the ensemble.
