Hanuman Ansh, a very small-budget devotional drama that released on August 7, has defied all trade expectations in the past two weeks and now emerged as a surprise box office blockbuster. Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film is based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, more popularly known as Maharaj ji.

After making daily collections in the range of Rs 5-20 lakhs for the first two weeks, Hanuman Ansh registered a massive jump in collections on its 3rd Saturday. Since then, it has been an upward trend for the film.  On Tuesday, Hanuman Ansh officially crossed the Rs 50 crore mark, with nett collections of Rs 8.50 crores, which are stupendous figures for the fourth Tuesday. 

Hanuman Ansh’s Tuesday collections place it second on the list of highest Day 26 grossers of all time, only next to Dhurandhar. The film surpassed the collections of blockbusters like Jawan, Pushpa 2, and Dhurandhar 2, which is a massive feat in itself. 

Earlier, on August 30, the film collected Rs 12.75 crores (nett), which was a 12600 percent hike from its day 1 collections. Considering the trend, there can be no accurate predictions for Hanuman Ansh in the coming few days, and the film is likely to break many more records.

Reportedly made on a budget of Rs 2 crore, the devotional drama is highly likely to touch the Rs 100 crore mark in coming two weeks. 

Produced by Swambhu Media Network, Ragini S, Namrata G S, and Anupriya A Nagar, Hanuman Ansh features Chandan Anand and Shobhinav Satyaa in the lead cast, and actors like Nikhil Dubey, Udaysinh Rajput, Purnima Tiwari, and Mannish Chaudhary in the ensemble.
