He was a wonderful narrator, full of life persona & a passionate filmmaker. A great loss to our industry. Will miss you my friend. Condolences to his family & dear ones. Om Shaanti.”

Born on April 14, 1959, Sanjay Gupta began his filmmaking career with the 1994 film Aatish. In the coming years, the filmmaker made a mark for himself with his action movies. In 2017, he delivered a major box office hit with Hrithik Roshan — Kaabil (2017), the action thriller which worked at the box office despite clashing with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees. His last film as a director was The Miranda Brothers (2024).
