Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s comments in a recent Koffee With Karan episode have become a hot topic of discourse online. Netizens objected especially to the part where Vijay said that he asked Rashmika to propose marriage to him ‘a hundred times' after she suggested it to him. Netizens have not taken such comments lightly, while spreading hatred at the couple and their relationship.

Subsequently, Vijay Deverakonda filed a complaint regarding users propagating false narratives about his marital status. The actor has also shared a statement of love for Rashmika amidst the controversy around his Koffee With Karan comments.

Sharing his intimate moments with her on Instagram, he wrote, “My best friend, my wife, my woman. One of the most beautiful parts of my life that I got absolutely right. For all those concerned, We are both gloriously happy. I am blessed. "

He added, "If its me and her against the world - so be it. Big love to all those who celebrate love and the simplicity of living happily. Now, with absolutely no intended kindness or respect, everyone else can go f**k themselves. :)) Deverakonda Vijay Sai.”

This is not Vijay Deverakonda’s first response to the discourse around his statements on filmmaker Karan Johar's show. Recently, the actor shared a video that ridicules people for looking at all moves from public figures for potential ‘red flags'.

Meanwhile, Rashmika hit out at the backlash over the episode, calling it “an angry mob looking for someone to vent at.” Admitting that the attack on her and her husband ‘shook’ her ‘a little’ bit, the actor questioned the whole point of it all.

On the film front, Vijay and Rashmika have reunited after 2019 Dear Comrade for Ranabaali.
