October 24 marks the completion of 48 years for Mukta Arts, the reputed production banner owned by Subhash Ghai. On the occasion, the banner announced its next project titled Manya.
Starring Shreyas Talpade in the lead, Manya promises to be a heartwarming and empathetic courtroom drama. The makers also released the first poster of their film, which showcases Shreyas standing in the middle of a court room, facing the young man he is supposed to defend. “A heartfelt story of a 15 year old thief,” the tagline reads.
Sameer Joshi helms direction for the film, while Puneet Aggarwal and Rahul Puri are credited as producers.
Mukta Arts is producing this in association with Slow Burn Entertainment, with Subhash Ghai as the presenter. More details about the primary cast and crew are to be officially announced.
Shreyas Talpade was last seen in the social drama The India Story, which also featured Kajal Aggarwal in the lead. The film didn’t leave any imprint at the box office. Shreyas had previously collaborated with Subhash Ghai for the 2005 sports film Iqbal, directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, which was also Shreyas’ breakout hit, and Apna Sapna Money Money.
