Alpha, the much-awaited actioner starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, has had multiple changes in its release plans over the past few months. Last reported, the film was set for a theatrical release on July 10. However, according to some recent reports, the makers of the Alia-Sharvari starrer are planning to prepone their film’s release by a week.

If the reports are true, Alpha will arrive in theatres on July 3, instead of July 10.  The preponing decision is likely being considered due to the release plans of Dhamaal 4 that is reportedly now set for theatrical release on July 17. Consider Christopher Nolan’s much-awaited The Odyssey is also releasing on July 17, it makes more sense for Alpha to have a clear theatrical window for lesser competition for at least two weeks before newer films arrive in theatres.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, who previously directed The Railway Men for Yash Raj Films, Alpha also stars Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in the lead cast. Bobby Deol will be seen as the antagonist. This will be Alia’s first release in nearly 2 years since Jigra (2024), which did not do wonders at the box office. 

Meanwhile, Sharvari is gearing up for another major release Main Vaapas Aaunga that will arrive on June 12.
