The officially trailer of upcoming Varun Dhawan starrer Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai was unveiled at a grand event on Saturday. The event was attended by the entire cast and crew, including producer Ramesh Taurani. On the occasion, the veteran producer chose to address the ongoing legal dispute between Tips Music and Vashu Bhagnani, throwing light on the developments.

Answering a question about the legal notice from Vashu Bhagnani, and whether the promotions will be further affected by the legal battle, Ramesh Taurani said, “There is no further problem with it. Whatever issue we had has been sort, and we will sort out other little things as well. The matter is under sub judice, and we are handling it.”

It is to be noted that the trailer was earlier scheduled for a grand launch on Thursday, before being cancelled due to technical reasons. The newly-released trailer makes prominent use of recreated versions of two songs — ‘Chunnari Chunnari’ and ‘Ishq Chandi Hai’ — from the 1999 film Biwi No 1, which was produced by Vashu Bhagnani and directed by David Dhawan.

While Vashu Bhagnani had admitted that he had sold the music rights for the film to Tips Music, the underlying film-linked intellectual property and recreation permissions still required consent from his side, he claimed.

Directed by David Dhawan, the comedy entertainer also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde in the lead cast. The comedy also features Mouni Roy who plays the hero’s fake mother. The ensemble cast includes Rakesh Bedi, Maniesh Paul and Chunky Pandey. Ramesh Taurani is the producer for the film, backing the film under Tips Films.
