Anupam Kher has a packed slate of films with the actor busy for the next few years on his upcoming projects. The actor recently returned back to direction with Tanvi The Great which also starred him along with debutante Shubhangi Dutt, Arvind Swami, Iain Glen, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, and Pallavi Joshi. On the acting front, he has Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, the second part to the 2006 film. He is also involved in Prabhas' Fauzi, and an untitled Sooraj Barjatya film.

The actor has now added another movie to his kitty. Sharing the news on his social media handles, Anupam Kher unveiled the title of his 551st film as Flicker. In an AI-generated poster, the actor has donned a sufi attire, with jewels on his neck. He seems to be striking a dance pose while being in a trance.

Anupam Kher mentioned that despite starring in 550 films, the new film "feels like the first step again." "I have always believed that if you don’t challenge yourself… you slowly start repeating yourself. So I chose the harder road. To reinvent… not just the actor in me… but the person I am becoming. To step into uncertainty. To make it difficult. To search for something… real. Flicker is that search," he wrote.

The actor revealed that he has started filming for the new movie and that he would keep the story a secret from audiences. "But I promise you when it reaches you, it will stay with you," he underlined.

Anupam Kher concluded his note by asking his fans for their love, blessings and their wishes.

Besides the above mentioned films, the actor is also set to star in and direct a film set in Varanasi. He described the character as "a 70-year-old man who feels like a 28-year-old man". He suggested that the upcoming film would be a spiritual successor to Saaransh, the 1984 drama starring him and directed by Mahesh Bhatt.
