Earlier, we reported about Anupam Kher starting production on a second part to his 2006 film Khosla Ka Ghosla, which marks the 550th film in his career. The latest from Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 is that Ravi Kishan has joined the cast, which is also expected to include Boman Irani from the first film. Anupam himself announced the news through his X account while expressing his love and admiration for Ravi. Calling Ravi “a brilliant actor and a great human being,” Anupam Kher expressed his delight at having the former as part of the film, reportedly directed by Umesh Bist of Pagglait fame. “We worked together long time back. But this is going to be super special,” the actor-filmmaker wrote. He added, “I admire Ravi as an excellent actor, a hardworking parliamentarian and above all as the PERSON that he is!! Calm, Humble, Compassionate, Helpful, Sincere and someone who loves Bharat passionately! Looking forward to our scenes together!”
Ravi also joined Anupam Kher in a video and gave back the compliment. Calling Anupam “a great actor” and acknowledging his involvement in over 500 films, Ravi said that he was looking forward to the collaboration with him. “There is a school, an institution within him,” Ravi said, referring to Anupam's vast experience and knowledge about acting. “He has Lord Shiva's blessings,” the actor added about Anupam Kher.
The makers are yet to reveal further details about the project. However, it is expected to bring back the titular Khosla family as part of a more contemporary milieu. Recently, the first part's producer Savita Raj Hiremath confirmed the development of the sequel as she reunited with the original’s cast and crew on its rerelease. At the time, while speaking to ANI alongside actors Boman, Ranvir Shorey, Anupam, and Tara Sharma, and Praveen Dabas, she told ANI, “We all are coming together soon in Part Two. ”
In a recent interview with Mid-day, Anupam also said that the sequel has “a brilliant script”.
