Ahead of their much-awaited ‘Rama’ glimpse on April 2, the makers of Ramayana paid a visit to LA, where they unveiled the glimpse of their movie at a special event. Producer Namit Malhotra was accompanied by director Nitesh Tiwary and Ranbir Kapoor for the same. On the occasion, Ranbir spoke to an exclusively international audience about the religious and cultural significance of the mythological figure.
Answering a question in the QnA segment of the event, Ranbir said about Lord Rama, “Lord Rama has been the conscience keeper of billions of people around the globe for centuries and long after. He will continue being so long after we have gone.”
Further enlightening the audience about Rama’s moral virtues and why he is referred to as Maryada Purushottam, Ranbir added, “He enlightens us about the human spirit in terms of adversities. He stands for compassion, for courage, for righteousness and forgiveness. He is called Maryada Purushottam, which stands for an ideal man.”
Meanwhile, according to some reports, the makers are also planning to unveil other lead cast of Ramayana in the ‘Rama’ glimpse, including Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, and Ravie Dubey. The project has also generated great interest by bringing together two legendary composers like Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman.
Scheduled to arrive in November this year on the occasion of Diwali, Ramayana is the biggest Hindi film project to be made so far, with a reported budget of Rs 4000 crore.
