Besides achieving stupendous box office success, Dhurandhar 2 has also been compared to other recent box office hits like The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story for its political overtones and tackling with real stories in a mainstream format. On Monday, The Kashmir Files filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri penned a long note praising Aditya Dhar and Dhurandhar team for their accomplishment, while also advising the filmmaker to be ‘mindful of the ecosystem.’
In his X post, Vivek stated about Aditya Dhar, “Shabash. Bravo. Brilliant once again, Aditya Dhar. I genuinely don’t know what to say… anything I add may only become noise over something that already speaks for itself.”
The filmmaker was particularly effusive in his praise for cinematographer Vikash Nowlakha and production designer Saini Johray. “In cinema, the camera and production design are married to each other. Unless both are in complete harmony, a film cannot rise to the level of a masterpiece. Both Vikash and Saini Johray have done groundbreaking work that will stand as a benchmark for a long time,” he added.
On a concluding note, The Kashmir Files director advised Aditya Dhar to be ‘mindful of the ecosystem, adding how the ecosystem ‘can be as vicious as it is seductive.’
Vivek’s upcoming project based on Operation Sindoor, which will be produced in association with Bhushan Kumar, was announced recently.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, Dhurandhar 2 surpassed the lifetime box office collection of many films like Jawan, KGF 2, RRR, and its own predecessor Dhurandhar (2025).
