Actor Kajal Aggarwal has joined the growing chorus of praise for Dhurandhar The Revenge, the recently released sequel that has been setting the box office ablaze since March 19. Headlined by Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller has been drawing appreciation from audiences and industry peers alike.
Sharing her thoughts on X, Kajal described the film as an immersive cinematic experience, lauding both its emotional depth and technical craft. “@adityadharfilms, this is cinematic ecstasy pro max. If Part 1 was unforgettable, Part 2 leaves us with so much to feel, process, and admire. You’ve raised the bar,” she wrote.
Her highest praise, however, was reserved for Ranveer Singh’s performance. “Take a moment… let it truly sink in. @ranveersingh, I’m still not over what you’ve done here. The emotion, the intensity, the ease, the sincerity… and the sheer hard work behind it all. Your passion bleeds through every frame,” she noted, adding, “Jaskirat and Hamza will stay with us for a long, long time. Truly, a legend of our times in motion.”
Kajal also highlighted the contributions of the ensemble cast. She commended R Madhavan for bringing “quiet strength” and “calm authority", especially in the film’s closing moments, which she said evoked a strong sense of patriotism. She described Yami Gautam as “effortless, luminous, and impactful" while praising Sara Arjun for her “incredibly charming” portrayal of Yalina.
She also singled out the film’s music by Shashwat Sachdev, writing, “Your music doesn’t just support the film; it lives within it… from soul-stirring melodies and nostalgic remixes in part 1 to an even more elevated soundscape this time… outstanding.” She concluded by congratulating the entire team and the producers for delivering a memorable cinematic experience.
Set against the gritty backdrop of Lyari in Karachi—an area historically associated with gang conflicts—the Dhurandhar franchise blends fictional storytelling with real-world events such as the Kandahar hijacking, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
While the first instalment focused on covert intelligence operations, the sequel delves deeper into the journey of Ranveer’s character. It traces the transformation of Jaskirat Singh Rangi into Hamza Ali Mazari, mapping his rise within Karachi’s underworld while unpacking his origins as a covert operative.
Dhurandhar The Revenge also features performances by Arjun Rampal and Rakesh Bedi, rounding out a cast that has been widely appreciated as the film continues its successful theatrical run.
