Ahead of the film's premiere shows on Wednesday, the complete list of changes and cuts suggested by Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for the Ranveer Singh starrer began circulating online. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2 has received an A certificate, in addition to all the modifications required for the certification.
Among the 21 cuts and changes suggested by CBFC overall, the major cuts are the ones concerning visuals of violence. In all, the Dhurandhar 2 has been asked to reduce or entirely trim 4 scenes depicting graphic violence, including the one where a character is beheaded. Additionally, the team has also been asked to mute or change abusive words at 4 places.
Among other major modifications is the one where Dhurandhar 2 makers have been asked to replace ‘Lahore’ with ‘Delhi.’
While the Dhurandhar 2 team had originally applied for certification with a duration of 3 hours 51 minutes, the film’s final runtime is 3 hours 49 minutes. Meanwhile, the version that’s being released in overseas is reportedly 6 minutes longer, i.e. 3 hours 55 minutes.
At the box office, Dhurandhar 2 is expected to go on a rampage, with worldwide pre-sales collections going well over 150 crores already. On its opening day, the Ranveer Singh starrer is expected to cross the 100 crore mark at domestic box office alone.
