Amidst the reports of Dhurandhar 2 premiere shows getting cancelled in dubbed versions, filmmaker Aditya Dhat issued an official statement, offering clarity on the shows being played on Wednesday before Dhurandhar 2 arrives in theatres on Thursday on wide scale.
Taking to his X page, Aditya Dhar wrote, “Most of our Hindi shows across India are running as scheduled from 5 pm onwards. All of our Tamil and Telugu shows will commence from 9 pm onwards. However due to unforeseen technical difficulties, our Malayalam and Kannada shows will begin from tomorrow morning.
The filmmaker also clarified that those disappointed fans, whose shows got cancelled, have the option to refund or alternatively watch the Hindi version with subtitles. “We truly apologise for the inconvenience,” he added.
Meanwhile, there have been reports that the Tamil previews show have been cancelled entirely in some theatres, instead of merely being preponed.
However, the film has already registered massive advance figures at the box office. The Ranveer Singh starrer is likely to smoothly cross the 100 crore mark at domestic box office alone.
