A minor setback arrives for Dhurandhar 2 makers a few hours ahead of their wide-scale release tomorrow, as the premiere shows in other language dubbed versions are reported to be cancelled in many territories. The said cancellation is attributed to major delay in content delivery and key delivery message from production house.
As a result, many exhibitors in Telugu territories were compelled to play the Hindi version instead. On the other hand, a few theatre owners decided to give full refund to the fans.
Similar reports are coming in from Karnataka and Kerala. Due to a major delay in final digital master upload, the Kannada dubbed version premieres for Dhurandhar 2 have been called off at many places, including Bangalore. In Tamil Nadu, theatre chains like Broadway Cinemas and Vettri Theatres issued official apologies to the fans, refunding their tickets and announcing their decision to play the Hindi version as an alternative.
Even for the Hindi premieres, which were scheduled to begin around 4.30 across the country, there are said to be delays on ground level in beginning the show. While the Hindi premiere shows weren’t cancelled, they are reportedly facing a huge delay and running behind schedule nonetheless.
Incidentally, the makers of Dhurandhar 2 faced similar issues during the release of Dhurandhar as well, where the press shows and premieres were cancelled at the nth hour across the board.
