Although the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)-led protests, which were being carried out against NEET-UG paper leak scam, came to an end on Saturday, the subject continues to generate strong discourse on social media another public figures and netizens. On Monday, Kangana Ranaut expressed her derision towards the protestors for their use of profanity against BJP leaders, among other reasons. 

Taking to her Instagram stories, the Queen actor penned an angry note about the CJP protestors’ general conduct, saying, “in my life I have never seen so much ugliness in one place, these reels from Genz protests are puke inducing, the way they speak and the kind of language they are using, never in my life I have seen everything in each and every frame so jarring and so crass all at ones. Who is birthing and raising them?

Praising India for being a ‘place of diversely beautiful people, draped in elegance and rooted in cultural sophistication,” Kangana added, “You call yourself cockroaches and look/ behave like them as well there is no paradox or juxtaposition there, just simply subjecting the world to your filth, garbage and ugliness. I am scarred from these reels, need some healing, digital detox.”

While Kangana remains a strong critic of the protestors, the students and Gen-Z members who led the protests have been receiving a lot of praises from all quarters for their resilience and use of internet to fight their battles. Among others, Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sonakshi Sinha made jubilant social media posts, expressing their joy at the news of protests being called off.

On Sunday, the CJP-led protests came to an end after education minister Dharmenedra Pradhan handed over his resignation, and BJP also agreed to comply to other conditions put forth by CJP.
