ZEE5 has been consistently releasing announcement teasers for their upcoming projects which are lined up for a release in coming few months. The lineup includes Pooja Meri Jaan, whose teaser was unveiled on Thursday. 

Starring Mrunal Thakur, Huma Qureshi and Vikram Singh Chauhan in the lead cast, Pooja Meri Jaan promises to be an intense romantic thriller. While the teaser doesn’t give away much about the plot, Vikram Singh Chauhan promisingly plays an obsessive lover whose overtures wreak havoc on the life of Puja (Mrunal Thakur), a young girl who begins to crumble under the pressure of toxic masculinity and a patriarchal society. Huma Qureshi plays a lawyer trying to navigate the legal recourse around a case as messy as this. “Stuck between love & obsession, will a girl be able to escape the clutches of society?, “ the official logline reads.

Pooja Meri Jaan is written by Navjot Gulati, who shares the writing credits with Kanishka. Navjot Gulati has previously made Jai Mummy Di (2020), besides directing shows like Industry (2024) and Happily Ever After (2020). 

Vipasha Arvind is credited as co-director, while Niren Bhatt gets credit for additional screenplay and dialogue. The supporting cast also includes Vijay Raaz. Vishal Mishra has composed music for the film. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushaik under Maddock Films, Pooja Meri Jaan is yet to get an official OTT premiere date. Sharada Karki Jalota and Pooja Prem Patheja are credited as co-producers. 

Huma Qureshi was recently seen in the noir-actioner Baby Do Die Do, while Mrunal’s previous big release was the bilingual actioner Dacoit, where she collaborated with Adivi Sesh.  Vikram Singh Chauhan, meanwhile, has been a popular TV actor whose last key role was in Sena: Guardians Of The Nation (2025).
