Huma Qureshi's film Baby Do Die Do hit theatres earlier this Friday. Besides starring in the film, Huma has produced the crime thriller with her brother Saqib Saleem through their Saleem Siblings banner. Critics have mostly been quite appreciative of the film, directed by Nachiket Samant.
Meanwhile, Yash, who stars with Huma Qureshi in the upcoming Kannada-English bilingual Toxic, expressed his appreciation for her co-star for taking on dual responsibilities for the latest Hindi film. Taking to his Instagram stories, Yash wrote, "There's a version of success that's easy. Huma Qureshi chose the harder one," Yash wrote. He added that it is not a glamorous business to produce a film and underscored that the process requires one to work hard, show much conviction in the screenplay and so forth.
"Producing isn't glamorous. It's late nights over budgets, fighting for a script no one else believed in, carrying the weight when things go wrong. Baby Do Die Do is out today, and she made it happen - as actor and producer. That's the kind of quiet courage worth admiring. Proud doesn't even cover it," Yash added about his Toxic co-star.
The crime thriller also stars Sikander Kher, Chunky Pandey, Seema Pahwa, Rachit Singh Vidya Malavade, Himanshu Malik, Marudhar Shekhawat, and Arun Kushwah. The makers call it "a thrilling journey filled with mystery, suspense, action, and unexpected twists."
Saleem Siblings present the film in association with Pune-04 Picture Llp. It has screenplay and dialogue by Nachiket Samant and Gaurav Sharma, who have worked on original story by Parveez Shaikh and Jasmeet K Reen.
On the other hand, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is slated for an August 26 release in theatres.
