Even months after its theatrical release, director Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar continues its glorious run at the box office. The other day, it reportedly became the first Hindi film to collect over 1000 crore from theatres in India. According to a Sacnilk report, it is among the few Indian films to cross the 1000-crore mark, a list that also includes Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Pushpa 2: The Rule, and KGF: Chapter 2. Remarkably, however, none of the aforementioned films collected over 1000 crore without relying on their dubbed versions. In other words, Dhurandhar is the first film from India to cross the said landmark figure at the Indian box office through its release in only one language.

According to Sacnilk, the film has minted over 1300 crore from theatres worldwide. Accusations of communal propaganda have done little harm to the multistarrer. It is still having multiple shows in theatres across major centres in India, which is remarkable considering how films, no matter how good, usually phase themselves out of theatres for their digital premieres in a few weeks of their release.

Interestingly, even as the Aditya Dhar directorial, starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, among others continues its incredible run in theatres, the film's second part is set to have dubbed versions. Yes, the makers of the film's sequel plan to release it with dubs in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu too.

As reported earlier, the Dhurandhar sequel is set for a March 19, 2026, release in theatres worldwide. Also slated for release on the same day are director Geetu Mohandas' multistarrer film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, featuring Yash in the lead role, and the Adivi Sesh-Mrunal Thakur starrer Dacoit.
