Actor Nana Patekar, who is part of Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming film O’Romeo, walked out of the trailer launch event of the film apparently because the programme didn’t start on time. As per reports, Nana was among the first celebrities to arrive at the venue for the launch but after being made to wait for over an hour for his co-stars Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, the actor reportedly lost patience and exited the event.

At the launch, director Vishal Bhardwaj addressed the situation and called Nana a “bully”. “Nana has left the event, yet I would like to speak about him. Nana is like the naughtiest child in a classroom — the kid who bullies people and also entertains the most,” he said.

“I have known Nana for 27 years, but this is the first time we have worked together. If he had been here, it would have been great. But because we made him wait for an hour, he stood up in his signature style and left the event. We didn’t feel bad about it because we know this is what makes Nana, Nana Patekar,” he added.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, O’Romeo stars Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri. It also has an ensemble of Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia and Farida Jalal, with special appearances by Vikrant Massey and Disha Patani.

The film is slated to release on February 13.
