Rashmika Mandanna, who has been part of some of the most talked-about films of recent times like Animal, Chhaava, Pushpa 2, and Thamma, was also the female lead in Salman Khan-starrer Sikandar. However, unlike most of her other films, Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, did not perform well at the box office. During a recent interview, Rashmika spoke about how the script for Sikandar was changed over the course of making the film.

Speaking to Prema, Rashmika recalled the first time Sikandar was offered to her. She added, “For Sikander, I remember talking to Murugadoss sir. Ofcourse, what happened later was different. But when I first heard the script, it was a very different script."

At the same time, Rashmika admitted that such changes are common with movie-making. “When you listen, it’s one story you are listening to. Over making of the film, things often change according to performances, edit choices, or timing of release. Generally that happens with films.”

Besides Salman and Rashmika, Sikandar also features Sathyaraj, Kishore, Prateik Smita Patil, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, Anjini Dhawan and Jatin Sarna in the ensemble cast. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film features music by Pritam and background score by Santhosh Narayanan.  As per Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 184 crore (nett) at the box-office worldwide, made against a reported budget of Rs 180 crores.

Salman is current gearing up for his next release Battle of Galwan. Meanwhile, Rashmika is part of Cocktail 2, sharing screen with Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor.
