Shahid Kapoor’s first look from Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming gangster film O’Romeo is out.

In the poster shared by the makers, Shahid Kapoor is seen, dressed in all black with a bloody red background. He himself too is covered in blood, with tattooed arms and chest and is giving a devilish grin.

The film has fixed a release date of February 13, during the Valentine’s Day week. It will be clashing with Bejoy Nambiar’s creature-feature, romantic-horror film Tu Yaa Main, starring Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor. The film’s teaser was also unveiled today. For O’Romeo, the teaser is scheduled to come out tomorrow (Saturday).

Previously a poster of the film was revealed which showed Shahid posing with his face covered under a cowboy hat.

O’Romeo also stars Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar and Avinash Tiwary and will also have a cameo by Disha Patani. It has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

According to reports, the film is a biopic of gangster Hussain Ustara. It was originally conceived as a biopic of gangster Sapna didi that would have seen Deepika Padukone in the titular role and the late Irrfan Khan in the role of Hussain. Later, rumours stated that Kartik Aaryan was in talks to play the gangster, but now the character will be materialized by Vishal’s frequent collaborator Shahid.

O’ Romeo will be Vishal and Shahid’s fourth collaboration after Kaminey (2009), Haider (2014) and Rangoon (2017).
