Akshay Kumar took to social media on Tuesday to share a new poster of his upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla. The film reunites Akshay with his longtime collaborator director Priyadarshan after 14 years.
The poster shows a bare-chested Akshay wearing rudraksh bracelets and sitting on a throne with demonic faces. Akshay’s look is reminiscent of his look in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa title song. The 2007 film was also directed by Priyadarshan.
“Dus ko denge das-tak, intezar karo tab tak… Let the fun begin!” Akshay captioned the post.
Besides Akshay, Bhooth Bangla features Wamiqa Gabbi as the female lead and actors like Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta in the ensemble cast. The film will also posthumously feature Asrani, who passed away in October 2025, in one of his last on-screen appearances.
The film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Akshay under the banners Balaji Telefilms and Cape of Good Films. Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali serve as co-producers. The story is written by Akash A Kaushik, while the screenplay by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair and Priyadarshan. Rohan has also penned the dialogues.
Besides Bhooth Bangla, Akshay and Priyadarshan are also working together on Haiwaan, which additionally stars Saif Ali Khan in the lead.
