Priyanka Chopra, who has a major Hollywood release coming up with The Bluff, is also making a grand comeback to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated Varanasi. Her last Indian film was The Sky is Pink. During a recent interview, the actor spoke about moving to Hollywood, and why she took a break from Indian films at first place.

Speaking to Firstpost, Priyanka said, “I don’t think I ever wanted to leave Bollywood. I felt limited for many reasons when I was working in Hindi films. I wanted to expand, and I was pushed into wanting to look for opportunities that would be exciting for me as an artist. I landed up working in America. After almost 12 years, I am finding the momentum to pick and choose really amazing work. ”

The actor also said that she would hate to choose between Bollywood and Hollywood, adding, “I straddled both worlds, enjoyed working in both industries. They were different in many ways, but now My brain can work in two different ways. It’s a unique, fun thing to be able to do.”

Priyanka’s upcoming film The Bluff is set for its OTT premiere on February 25. Meanwhile, Varanasi, which stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran alongside her, is tentatively billed for 2027 release. The Rajamouli film also marks her maiden Telugu project.
