Sunny Deol, who is currently basking in the success of Border 2, will next be seen in the high-octane action drama titled Gabru. On Tuesday, the makers unveiled a new poster of their film, also announcing the release date.

Gabru will arrive in theatres on May 8 this year. The new poster features a side-profile image of an angry-looking Sunny Deol. In the poster, one can also see Sunny’s character carrying a young, bruised girl in his arms. The poster also carries the tagline, “Power isn’t what you show, it is what you do.” By the looks of it, Sunny Deol will be seen playing a righteous vigilante-figure in the film.

Gabru is being directed by Shashank Udapurkar, and produced by Vishal rana and Om Chhangani. The film also features prominent Tamil actor Simran and Prit Kamani in significant roles. The film has music by Mithoon, Anurag Saikia, and Satinder Sartaaj, while lyrics are by Sayeed Quadri. More details about the primary cast and crew are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Sunny Deol has another major release lined up this year with Lahore 1947, a period drama produced by Aamir Khan that marks Sunny’s reunion with filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi after 30 years.
