Legendary writer Salim Khan hospitalised; 'under close observation' in ICU now

Legendary screenwriter and Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan was hospitalised on Tuesday morning. The reasons for his admission have not been officially disclosed by his family. 

According to PTI, the screenwriter is still in the ICU. Sharing an official statement, Dr Jalil Parker, who is treating him, said, “He is stable but under close observation.” He added that a press bulletin will be released on Wednesday morning after due consent from his family members. 

Earlier this morning, Salman Khan was seen leaving from Lilavati Hospital after paying him a visit. Later, Many of his family members like wife Helen, son Arbaaz Khan, daughter-in-law Sshura Khan, daughter Alvira Khan, son-in-law Atul Agnihotri, and grandsons Ayaan Agnihotri, Arhaan Khan, and Nirvaan Khan also visited him at the hospital. Ayush Sharma, the husband of Arpita Khan, was also spotted at the hospital. 

Salim Khan turned 90 in November last year. The screenwriter who was one of the leading figures of the industry for nearly 15 years, has iconic films like Sholay, Deewaar, Trishul, and Shakti to his credit, which he co-wrote along with Javed Akhtar.
