There has been much anticipation for the release of actor Ranbir Kapoor's next film Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. However, the film's release has been delayed numerous times now. It was supposed to hit theatres in December last year.

Recently, Ranbir addressed the delay in the film's release during a fan interaction on social media the other day. In a clip widely shared on social media, a fan joked about the long absence between Ranbir Kapoor films. After 2018's Sanju, fans had to wait for four years to see the actor again onscreen in Shamshera. And now, he has not had a release after 2023's Animal. Ranbir understood what the fan was referring to and acknowledged the delays that his films usually face.

Attributing the delays to his "bad luck," Ranbir replied, "Whenever I start a movie, it is usually… People finish movies in 4-6 months, but my films take a long time. But I hope that when it releases, you forget all that time it has taken. I assure you that I have been working really hard for the last 2-3 years. I have been working very hard. So I guess good things take time!"

Reportedly, Vicky Kaushal also stars in the film, alongside Ranbir, as Indian Air Force officers, while Alia Bhatt plays their love interest. Pictures from the film's set have been leaked online. The project brings Ranbir back together with Bhansali after 2007's Saawariya, which marked the actor's debut.

Ranbir's upcoming projects include Ramayana with director Nitesh Tiwari. The film will star the actor as Lord Ram, opposite Sai Pallavi (Sita) and Yash (Raavan). It has gained much buzz as its soundtrack is created by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The actor also has Animal Park with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga in the pipeline.
