Mihir Ahuja, who is known for his work in Made in Heaven and The Archies, was recently seen in the Netflix series Operation Safed Sagar where he played the role of Flying Officer Bal Reddy, aka Baldy. Recently, Mihir spoke about Hrithik Roshan and the film which inspired him to become an actor, while terming Operation Safed Sagar as a ‘full circle moment’.
In an official statement, Mihir said, "I still remember watching Lakshya for the first time and being moved by Hrithik’s performance. It wasn't just the scale, but the emotional transformation of his character that stayed with me. Somewhere, I always hoped that one day I would get to play a character that carried the same sense of purpose and responsibility.”
While sharing that Hrithik had always been one of his favourite actors since then, Mihir also spoke about the experience of collaborating with him 15 years later — first on the 2019 film Super 30 and later during an ad shoot. “It was surreal because that was the first time I met my idol. Just watching him work from close quarters was an education in itself. Those experiences only strengthened my admiration for him."
Further talking about Operation Safed Sagar, Mihir described the role as a ‘full circle moment,’ elaborating, “When this series came to me, I didn't have to think twice. It genuinely felt like something I had been manifesting for years. Wearing the uniform, understanding the mindset of an Air Force officer and being part of a story that honours our armed forces — looking back, it really feels like life has come full circle since Lakshya.”
Besides Mihir, Operation Safed Sagar featured many prominent actors in the lead cast like Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Dia Mirza and Amrita Bagchi.
Mihir’s other recent works include Shabad — Reet aur Riwaaz and Maa Ka Sum.
