After a staggering first weekend business done by Awarapan 2, all eyes were on the first Monday figures for the Emraan Hashmi starrer. However, the film stayed steady on day 4, passing the Monday test.
According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 9.25 crore nett on Monday, showing a standard decline in 60-65 % range from its Sunday collections. While the morning shows were abysmal, the film picked up instantly in afternoon shows, registering steady collections in night shows. On Monday, Delhi-NCR registered the highest occupancy rates while centres like Ahmedabad, Pune, and Surat showed underwhelming numbers. With its steady Monday business, Awarapan 2’s domestic collections now stand at 91 crore nett.
Even in overseas market, the Emraan Hashmi starrer has held its ground, grossing over 20 crores so far. As of on Monday, the worldwide collections of Awarapan 2 stand at Rs 130.8 crore. Considering there are no big Hindi releases for the coming two weeks, Awarapan 2 is likely to continue having a steady run and comfortably cross the 200 crore landmark.
It remains to be seen whether the film enters the list of top 3 hits of 2026, for which it needs to beat the collections of Akshay Kumar starrer Bhooth Bangla which collected Rs 182 crore nett at domestic boc office.
The Emraan Hashmi starrer sequel already stands at 7th position in the 2026 list of highest grossing Hindi films, only behind Cocktail 2, Welcome to The Jungle, Dhamaal 4, Bhooth Bangla, Border 2, and Dhurandhar 2.
The Awarapan 2 success comes as a major respite for Emraan Hashmi, whose last few theatrical releases like Haq and Ground Zero struggled to stay afloat at the box office.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt, Awarapan 2 additionally stars Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky and Puran Gabbi in the lead cast.
