The makers of Lakshya-Ananya Panday starrer Chand Mera Dil have now resumed promotions in full swing, largely riding on their romantic soundtrack composed by Sachin-Jigar. On Tuesday, another single titled ‘Aitbaar’ from the film was released online.
Penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, ‘Aitbaar’ is an intense and melancholic composition, sung by Faheem Abdullah with great emotion. What stand out in the number is the incorporation of Punjabi verses in the interludes, and the use of heavy percussions that underlines the song’s intensity.
The music video also captures a myriad of emotions and stages of the protagonist couple’s relationships, from grief, confusion romance to separation.
The first teaser of Chand Mera Dil was released two weeks ago. The film borrows its title from a popular song from the 1977 film Hum Kisise Kum Nahin. The modern romance is directed by Vivek Soni, who has previously made films like Meenakshi Sundareshwar and Aap Jaisa Koi. Vivek has also written the story, besides co-authoring the screenplay and dialogues with Tushar Paranjape and Akshat Ghildial, respectively.
Chand Mera Dil, which marks maiden collaboration between Ananya and Lakshya, is set for theatrical release on May 22. The film will face a stiff competition at the box office, from films like Bandar and Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.
The film is produced under Dharma Productions, with Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra and Marijke deSouza serving as producers.
