A few days ago, we had reported about the makers of Sanjay Dutt starrer Aakhri Sawal setting May 8 as their film’s release date. Directed by Abhijeet Mohan Warang, the film promises to be an intense and unfiltered drama, also politically turbulent in nature. On Tuesday, the makers unveiled a new teaser, promising another untold chapter of contemporary history.
The new teaser focuses on a private meeting that took place between Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and Mahatma Gandhi in 1934, claiming to present a layered and dramatic portrayal of their conversation. The teaser also hints at untold truths and unseen perspectives, suggesting that the film will attempt to uncover a chapter of history long kept behind closed doors.
With its first teaser, where it established its ideological backdrop of RSS, the film promises to pose bold questions and invite audiences to reflect on some of the most debated moments in India’s history, including the ban on the RSS and the lesser-explored narrative surrounding the Babri Masjid. The new teaser only deepens intrigue around the film’s core subject.
Besides headlining the film, Sanjay Dutt is also co-producing Aakhri Sawal along with Nikhil Nanda under the banner of Nikhil Nanda Motion Pictures. The primary cast includes Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty, Tridha Choudhury, and Neetu Chandra. Additionally, Sameera Reddy makes her on-screen comeback after many years.
The story, screenplay, and dialogues are written by Utkarsh Naithani. The music is composed by Monty Sharma, with lyrics by Kumar Vishwas.
