Recently, we reported about Ravie Dubey starring as Lakshman in director Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram. Earlier this Saturday, Ravie shared his excitement over his Lakshman poster being shown on a large screen along Times Square in New York.

Sharing clips and a picture from the venue, the actor wrote, "Wow… did you guys just put me on Times Square?! After all these years, I realize how blessed I am to have fans who have become family. I just saw this, and I’m honestly overwhelmed. Thank you for this love…it means everything. Jai Shri Ram."

Ravie Dubey's post comes only a few days after the release of the Lord Ram glimpse. There have been many different reactions to the glimpse video. Back then, many made AI allegations against the makers and criticised Ranbir's casting in the titular role, and some also questioned the period-specific authenticity of the setting and certain characters.

Besides Ranbir Kapoor and Ravie Dubey, the film also stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Recently, Ranbir said in an interview that no actor other than Yash could do justice to the role of Ravana in the film.

Despite the recent criticism for the teaser, there has been considerable anticipation over the release of the film, which the makers also plan to do through IMAX screens.

Ramayana is directed by Nitesh Tiwari from a screenplay he has adapted from the source material alongside Shridhar Raghavan. On the technical front, the film has music by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer, visual effects from Oscar-winner DNEG,

Produced by Namit Malhotra, with Yash serving as a co-producer, the first part of the franchise is slated for a Diwali 2026 release, followed by the second instalment on the subsequent Diwali.
