Actor-director Farhan Akhtar recently spoke about his love for films. In an interview, he reflected on how his journey into cinema wasn’t shaped by a single defining moment, but by a deeply ingrained love that began in childhood.
Growing up in an environment surrounded by films and storytelling, he recalled how his fascination started early and only grew stronger with time. “I was always very attracted by the world of film… if I liked a film, I would watch it every single morning,” he shared. From revisiting films endlessly on a VHS player before heading to school to being completely immersed in their world, cinema became more than just a pastime it became a constant companion.
Expanding on what truly drew him in, Farhan pointed to the magic of the filmmaking process itself. “When you see people speak about films and you don’t understand how things are put together, there’s something so magical about that world… you feel like you want to be a part of it,” he said.
On the work front, Farhan was last seen in the war-drama 120 Bahadur (2025). He would next be seen playing Ravi Shankar in Sam Mendes's The Beatles films.
