Aamir Khan has finally watched Dhurandhar 2, and the superstar is all praise for the film’s team following its massive box office success and strong audience response.

Taking to the Instagram Stories of Aamir Khan Productions, the actor shared a poster of the film while tagging director Aditya Dhar and its ensemble cast, including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. Congratulating the team, he wrote, “Heartiest congratulations to the entire team of Dhurandhar: The Revenge! Your passion, vision and hard work have truly resonated with audiences.”

Interestingly, just weeks earlier, Khan had admitted he hadn’t yet seen the film. Speaking at the International Film Festival of Delhi 2026, he said, “I have not seen the film yet. But I hear only praises of the film. Dhurandhar 1 and now Dhurandhar 2. Both the films have done exceptionally well, and my very best wishes to the team.”

The sequel builds on the success of Dhurandhar, which released in December 2025 and went on to gross over Rs 1300 crore globally. Headlined by Ranveer Singh, the franchise follows an undercover Indian intelligence operative who infiltrates Karachi’s underworld and political networks to dismantle a terror threat targeting India. The sequel continues this high-stakes narrative, with a cast that also includes Sanjay Dutt alongside the returning ensemble.

On the work front, Aamir was last seen making his big-screen return with Sitaare Zameen Par, following the underperformance of Laal Singh Chaddha. He also made a cameo appearance in Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos.

Up next, he is backing Ek Din, a romantic drama directed by Sunil Pandey. The film stars Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi which is an adaptation of the Thai film One Day. It is slated for a theatrical release on May 1. He is also producing Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.
