One week after a firing incident took place outside actor Disha Patani’s home in Bareilly, two men, who were allegedly involved in it were killed in a joint encounter by Delhi’s special cell, Haryana STF and Uttar Pradesh STF on Wednesday, as per a report in The Hindu.
The two men were members of the Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar gang. They have been identified as Ravindra, a resident of Rohtak and Arun, from Sonipat, Haryana.
The duo reportedly tried to evade arrest and opened fire at the police, which injured a cop while another bullet hit a vehicle of Haryana Police. A senior Delhi police officer told the publication, “The two were directly involved in the shooting incident outside Disha Patani’s house in Bareilly and were injured in a shootout bear Tronica City, Ghaziabad.”
The two were shifted to hospital after being shot where they were declared to be dead.
The shooting at Disha’s home took place in the early hours of September 12 when gunshots were fired in Bareilly’s Civil Lines area at around 3:45 am. Her father, mother and sister were present at their residence during the incident.
Shortly after the incident, gangster Goldy Brar had claimed responsibility for the act through social media posts. He alleged that the firing was done in protest against remarks made by Disha and her sister against prominent religious figures.
