Pradeep Ranganathan's latest sci-fi romantic comedy Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), directed by Vignesh Shivan is continuing to see massive footfall in theatres across India. After earning Rs 7.05 crore on its opening day, the film witnessed a slight increase in its collections on Saturday, minting Rs 7.95 crore. On Sunday, LIK continued its strong run with Rs 7.70 crore. With this, the film's first weekend box office collections has risen to Rs 22.70 crore. Its total India gross collections stands at Rs 26.29 crore.

The box office numbers across its first three days indicate a strong interest among audiences for LIK's storyline and unique setting. Pradeep Ranganathan's fan base has also significantly increased across his four films Comali, Love Today, Dragon and Dude.

Besides Pradeep, Krithi Shetty, and SJ Suryah also star in lead roles. Gouri Kishan, Yogi Babu, Seeman, Shah Ra, Malavika, Mysskin, Anandaraj and Sunil Reddy, among others play supporting roles.

LIK, set in 2040, revolves around Suriyan's (SJ Suryah) eponymous app that monitors the love lives of couples and helps them insure their relationships. When his new app feature 'love score' hints at a failure in his relationship with Dheema (Krithi Shetty), Pradeep Ranganathan's Vibe Vassey is determined to prove it wrong and thwart the plans of Suriyan.

Upon release, the film received mixed reviews. Our CE review of the film read, "Love Insurance Kompany introduces a lot of promising ideas only to suffer a dramatic fall, more dramatic than the film itself. Like Gen Z films that make token cultural references, LIK has refurbished the overdone social media interface with a specious futurism."

Music composer Anirudh once again reunites with director Vignesh for LIK. The crew of the film also includes Ravi Varman as the director of photography, Pradeep E Ragav as the editor. It is jointly produced by Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio.
