‘Bijuria’: Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor groove to a redux of Sonu Nigam’s hit 1999 track

The song is part of their upcoming release Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, also starring Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf

‘Bijuria’, the first song from Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer rom-com Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is out. The film, directed by Shashank Khaitan, also stars Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf.

The track is a redux of Sonu Nigam’s 1999 original of the same name which was composed by Ravi Pawar. The new version has been reimagined by Tanishk Bagchi with original lyrics by Sonu and Ajay Jhingran retained and additional lyrics by Tanishk.

The music video is a festive Bollywood dance number set around some wedding event. Varun can be seen showcasing his suave moves as he matches steps with Janhvi. It seems like Varun and Janhvi are dancing together to make the characters of Sanya and Rohit jealous.

Previously, a teaser from Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has been unveiled by the makers. The film’s plot has been kept under wraps, but as per reports, it revolves around Sunny (Varun) and Tulsi Kumari (Janhvi), two people with opposite personalities. Sunny is a fun-loving and carefree guy, while Tulsi is a cultured and serious girl. Destiny brings them together, and they fall in love.

The film marks the second collaboration between Varun and Janhvi, following their first film together, Bawaal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, which released in 2023.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari  also features Akshay Oberoi and Maniesh Paul.

The film is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan. It has been delayed twice before. First, it was scheduled to be released on April 18 which was then pushed to September 12. It is now set to be released in theatres on October 2.
