Shah Rukh Khan took to social media on Monday to share a reel with his frequent collaborator Rani Mukerji. In a sweet video, the popular romantic pair from the early 2000s can be seen dancing on ‘Tu Pehli Tu Aakhri’, a song from SRK’s son Aryan Khan’s maiden series The Ba***ds of Bollywood.

In a reference to him and Rani winning the National Award for the first time, Shah Rukh captioned the video, “National award… hum dono ki adhoori khwahish poori ho gayi (Our wishes have been fulfilled)… yay… congratulations Rani, you are a queen and love you always.”

While SRK won the National Award for Best Actor for his performance in Jawan (2023), Rani won it for Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway (2023).

The song ‘Tu Pehli Tu Aakhri’ is picturised on Lakshya Lalwani and Sahher Bambba.

Shah Rukh and Rani have worked together in many films, some noteworthy ones are Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Chalte Chalte (2003) and Paheli (2005).

On the work front, Shah Rukh and Rani will reportedly reunite in the upcoming action-thriller King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film also stars SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles.
