‘Jhoom Sharaabi’, a song from Ajay Devgn’s upcoming romantic-comedy, De De Pyaar De 2 was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday. With humourous steps choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, the song has been composed, sung and written by Yo Yo Honey Singh.
The music video of the song opens with a quirky wordplay in the lyrics as Ajay lip syncs them with a playful energy holding a bottle of alcohol. The beginning portion describes the qualities of alcohol with a touch of humour. Then, just as the hook comes, Ajay is seen balancing a glass of alcohol on the toe of his leg along with a bunch of other men. Rakul Preet briefly appears in the music video, sharing a chemistry with Ajay, as the two break into quirky steps. Later, Ajay and Honey are seen moving their shoulder with the glass placed on it. The song mixes electronic music with the style of an old-school qawwali, blending the motifs of ‘saqi’ and ‘maykhana’ which is popularly used in Urdu poetry. Towards the end, Ajay and Honey are seen balancing the same alcohol glass on their forehead.
Sharing the song, the makers wrote, “Move over couples - this wedding season belongs to the uncles! Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh & Yo Yo Honey Singh drop the craziest dance track of 2025!”
The film has been directed by Anshul Sharma, written by Tarun Jain & Luv Ranjan and also stars Jaaved Jaaferi in a pivotal role. It is a sequel to De De Pyaar De, which also starred Tabu, Jimmy Shergill and Alok Nath in pivotal roles and was released in 2019.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, De De Pyaar De 2 is set to be released in theatres on November 14.
