Sonu Sood took to social media to remember late actor Asrani. Also known as Govardhan Asrani, the actor passed away in Mumbai on October 20.

Through his X handle, Sonu Sood wrote, "It was an absolute honour working with you in R... Rajkumar, Sir. Your warmth, humour, and humility left a mark on all of us. We will forever cherish the memories. You will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Asrani Sir."

R... Rajkumar was directed by Prabhu Dheva, and starred Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. The film was released in 2013 and starred Asrani as Pandit, and Sonu Sood as the antagonist Shivraj.

Asrani passed away at the age of 84, after a prolonged illness. Amongst other projects he was known for his role in Sholay. He is survived by his wife Manju.
