Filmfare Awards 2025: Laapataa Ladies sweeps with 13 awards; Abhishek Bachchan and Kartik Aaryan share Best Actor trophy

The 70th Filmfare Awards took place in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad on Saturday. It saw Shah Rukh Khan return as host. He was accompanied by Karan Johar and Maniesh Paul. The awards were sweeped by Laapataa Ladies (2023) which won 13 awards, one of the highest number of wins by one film, and also including the Best Film trophy. Abhishek Bachchan and Kartik Aryan shared the Best Actor award for I Want To Talk (2024) and Chandu Champion (2024), respectively. Alia Bhatt took home the Best Actress trophy for Vasan Bala’s Jigra (2024). Also, the best debut actor male was won by The Ba***ds of Bollywood star Lakshya for Kill (2023).
